Weaving

I'm finally getting around to weaving off the towels I started *cough, cough* ago. Since they're going to friends I'm using colors that I might not ordinarily use. Come to think of it, they might not use them either...oh, well.

My loom is an 8 shaft 27" Ashford table loom with an overhead beater. I LOVE the overhead beater. In fact it's the main reason I bought the loom.

The pattern is huck with weft floats. The finished, washed towels will be approx. 9X12". Will post pictures of the towels when they're done.

  1. That is so cool. I'm in awe of people that can weave. It looks so complicated. Looking forward to seeing the finished product.

  2. Thanks, Deb! Weaving is pretty much over/under, over/under, it's just how many overs then how many unders that make the patterns. It balances my need for organization/pattern with my need for creativity. over/under-different color over/under-different thread. As with many arts/hobbies it has its own language that makes it seem more complicated than it is. Give it a try sometime!
