Further down the road...

South of Burlington is more wide open prairie.  In the middle of a field was this metal sculpture. 
























And then..in the next town (sorry, I've forgotten it's name) was metal figures all along the main road. There was a bandolero, a mountain man, a cowboy and others. They appeared to be by the same artist.

I thought this structure was an oops but then I saw the guy attaching the bottom of the arm to the pole, so now I'm not so sure.  Interesting construction anyway.
