I found this over at Lloyd's blog and was mesmerized. It was fascinating and horrifying at the same time. If you haven't read The Perfect Storm be sure to read it. The book has amazing facts about the power of waves and water. We were in New Zealand, on the west side of the south island, when the earthquake and tsunami hit. We saw no evidence of damage there but may just not have been aware of what 'normal' looked like.
